a talented multi- instrumentalist and sound engineer, adrien garbar combines artistic talent and technical skills with thirty years’ experience. he works directly with artists and produces independent, as well as commercial projects.

After first studying classical guitar, Adrien then fell in love with the drums at 12 years old. his love of music also led him into musical creation and the discovery of other instruments. Hip-hop and electro projects in the 2000’s led to a diploma in sound engineering (SAE Institute) and to multiple experiences, of concerts, recording and music production.

Already in the noughties, Adrien was present as both director and musician on the Paris studio scene. Realizing the importance of sound in music production, he followed the professional training course at SAE Institute in Paris, graduating in 2006.

Music producer

adrien garbar’s musical influences are rooted in sampling. Immersed early in hip-hop and electro, he produced his first works in the late 90’s, working his way through the first music production software packages.

He focuses on finding the best hook, the best loop, and the best arrangement, to suit the musical environment and the personality of the artist he is working with. Adrien’s textures are a skillful blend of the organic, analog, and digital! As a child of the 80’s and having trained in sound engineering in the early 2000’s, he is of a generation that has no fear of any technological or artistic frontiers!

adrien teaches drums, music production and sound work in one-to-one sessions as well as collective training, working with all ages and at all levels.

On the drums, Adrien’s teaching method is based largely on listening and creativity. With over 25 years’ experience in the music industry, and ten of those as a teacher, his teaching covers all styles and can be adapted to each individual student. As a professional drummer and music producer, Adrien guides students and groups thru auditions, studio sessions, as well as leading full training programs.

As a teacher and trainer, he adapts his materials and method for teaching sound work and music production to suit each student. Adrien uses all the relevant software and peripherals in his teaching and can offer standard training or a program based on his self-taught experience as a music producer and his training as a sound engineer.
